Cheng Ji Si Han and his Yuan Dynasty

Mongolian is an old nation in northern China.At the end of the twelfth century,Tie Mu Zhen united Mongol after more than ten years'warfare and was elected the King of Mongol;he was respectfully called Cheng Ji Si Han,which means "a strong majesty".After he was crowned the king,Mongol became more and more prosperous,its frontier reached Danube River valley in Europe,and exerted great influence to the development of the world history. In 1260,Hu Bi Li,Chen Ji Si Han's grandson,inherited his crown,set up the capital in Beijing.He acclaimed the establishment of the Yuan dynasty in 1271and united north and south China in 1279.

Hu Bi Li assigned 10provincial governments as the highest local executive municipality.Tibet has formally become a province of China in Yuan dynasty.The central government also set up Penghu bureau,governing Taiwan and Penghu,which stands for the beginning of Taiwan's sovereignty to China.  Chinese Folklores & Festivals Website
